Have you gotten injured, wondered who should I see and will they help me get back to work soon? A chiropractor is a great choice to choose from different health care providers. Chiropractors are trained in dealing with injuries to your muscles and in providing motion to the spine. They can also provide strategies and exercise to manage what ails you.
A cross sectional survey of Scandinavian chiropractors found that in the absence of an illness present most recommended a return to work status vs a stay at home status(2). Also, another study found a lower disability recurrence in work related non-specific low back pain in chiropractic services or no treatment compared to physical therapy or other physician intervention in maintenance care(1).
Chiropractic can be an option to considered for any work-related injury, auto related injury or personal injury. It is important to note that some providers may not work for you and that is fine. What’s important is to find a provider that you feel comfortable and will help you reach your health goals.
